- What will marriage be like?
- Will my fiance return to the person they were before all of the wedding planing started?
- Will my new mother-in-law and wife be friends again?
- Will Uncle Frank ever give me his new address?

I think all of those things that were running through my head during our engagement turned out just fine.  But, it was hard to find something that could help me and wife to be, relaxed.

The answer for me was to listen to relaxing music, have a Jack and Coke or glass of wine, and enjoy the company of my soon to be bride. Whatever your stress level try to find sometime during each day to relax.

The following are some tools that can help you in relaxing:

- Reminisce: Listen to an instrumental album.

- Sleepless In Seattle: Watch a romantic movie.

- Candle Lit Dinner: Quality Time Together.

Keep in mind that this too shall pass.

Our pastor started a ministry over 15 years ago to help keep the spark alive in marriage.  It's called Marriage and Family Today.

In the state of Texas you are required to attend pre-marriage classes with the minister that is going to preform your wedding.  

My wife Cerise and I asked one of our best friends Mel to preform our marriage ceremony.  So Mel and his wife Tracy walked us through our pre-marriage classes.  The basis for our class was the book Marriage on the Rock.  It is full of information on the different ways Men and Women think.  Now, after almost 6 years of marriage very few days go by that I don't think about different topics in that book.

My Dad started our firm in 1984.  Now, My brother Nick, Dad, and I run the firm.  I've always loved the fact that my Dad takes us to hear from the best in new tax law to get us jump started for next years tax issues.

Cerise got to sleep in.  I'm not sure when the last time that happened but I think she enjoyed it.  Cerise and I watched some of our favorite show Arrested Development (Season 1).  On top of all that tonight is pizza night!  I love my family!

We have been working on this upgrade for a few weeks and are glad to say it's done!  Now, don't worry we are still powered by WEND!

If you are newly engaged and don't have any kids yet then a part of you is excited about having kids.  I remember when my wife and I were engaged.  I would lay awake at night wondering what our future would be like.  Now I know what it's like...AWESOME!

We have two kids now and really enjoy marriage.  I can't imagine what live would be like without my family.  The core part of that family is my wife being the amazing Mom that she is.  I'm glad we honor Mom's all over with a  special day.  They deserve much more than that but, at least we give them one day out of the year.

Here's to you Mom's out there doing what you do best.  Being a Mom!

I haven't given to many speeches in the last few years but, when Parie at PlanIt Lounge asked me to be the guest speaker for the first PlanIt Party I couldn't turn her down.

I really wanted to take an opportunity to tell some of our area brides what options they had with wedding websites.  After all Google the words "Wedding Websites" and you'll be looking at 64,500.000 results.  That's a lot of information to sort through just for a simple wedding website.

The brides that came really had some good questions and I was honored to be the first guest speaker.  Thank you so much Parie!
